What started as a legacy for my family is now an invitation to yours...
Averie Lynn, My Best Friend isn’t just a story—it’s a tool for raising emotionally aware kids.
Through playful storytelling in a rhythmic, lyrical style—written as a modern-day nursery rhyme—we’ve created something toddlers and big kids alike will respond to.
Stories that teach them how to understand their feelings, trust their voice, and build a strong sense of self.
In a world that moves fast and grows louder by the day, parents face a powerful challenge: how do we teach our children to stay grounded, know their worth, and navigate life with clarity and compassion?
Averie Lynn, My Best Friend was created to help answer that question.
Raising emotionally resilient kids starts early—long before they can explain how they feel.
I intentionally crafted Averie Lynn, My Best Friend because most children’s books focus on behavior. I wanted to go deeper—to help my daughter understand her thoughts, know her worth, and stay grounded, even when life feels messy.
Each book is thoughtfully written with certain words shown to calm the nervous system and support healthy development.
The stories use rhythm and gentle repetition—meeting kids where they are and making big ideas easy to remember and carry with them.
These books help children feel safe in their minds and bodies. Through gentle stories, kids learn to recognize thoughts and name emotions—practices shown to calm the nervous system and build long-term resilience. Each story introduces concepts like reflection and mindful awareness, helping children respond with intention instead of reacting on impulse.
By focusing on the present moment, children strengthen attention, memory, and problem-solving. Stories like “thoughts are clouds that float by” help explain abstract ideas in ways that are easy for little minds to understand and apply.
Children who practice mindfulness tend to show more empathy, kindness, and awareness of others. The characters in Averie Lynn, My Best Friend model emotional intelligence and help kids build a values-based approach to life.
When challenges arise, children who understand these truths are more adaptable and calm. These stories reinforce emotional tools again and again—so kids learn to face tough moments with steady hearts and clear minds.
In a supportive environment, these practices have an even greater effect. By reading these stories at home, parents can create a calming, connected space that protects children from stress and fosters well-being.
Children learn through rhythm and repetition. The poetic, engaging language in these books helps them remember and return to these concepts again and again—making it feel like second nature as they grow.
